Taedy O’Rourke (MSW, RSW) is a trauma and attachment-informed therapist and Registered Social Worker with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW). He holds a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Memorial University (2017) and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Toronto (2019) with a focus on mental health and health.
In the past 6 years, Taedy has offered counselling support to diverse populations, including those navigating acute and complex trauma, addictions, and mental health challenges in community-based and correctional settings. His therapeutic approach is informed by Internal Family Systems parts work and uses EMDR to support trauma reprocessing. He believes that if we can address the issue at its core, surface-level symptoms and struggles will begin to ease.
In his spare time, Taedy enjoys running in local races and hiking the East Coast Trail.
