Maxine Paul

Maxine Paul (BSW, MSW, RSW) is a Registered Social Worker in the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW). Her social work education was completed at Memorial University of Newfoundland, with her Masters of Social Work awarded in 1995.
For more than 30 years, Maxine has worked as a social worker with a focus on clinical counselling and therapy. Much of her past work was with Mental Health and Addictions at Eastern Health and in part-time private practice. At present, Maxine works at the School of Social Work at Memorial University as a Field Education Coordinator, teaching students in the bachelor’s degree program.
Maxine specializes in working with adults who have trauma experiences, substance-use concerns, and general mental health issues.
Nancy Galway
1:1 Therapy, Group Therapy, New Patients
Nancy Galway (RSW, MSW) is a professional counsellor and social worker who has had her own experiences with trauma and anxiety. She began working in social work and support in the 1980s and has worked in the areas of corrections, elder abuse, family services, and counselling clinics and with a mobile crisis team.
Nancy has worked throughout the country, including in northern Canada, including the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Labrador - in both first response and in clinical care settings. She is currently a member of the NLCSW, OCSWSSW, the CASW, and EMDRIA NSCSW. Nancy has participated as a volunteer on many boards and associations connected to her field and has been awarded for her work in the elder abuse field.
When she’s not helping others, Nancy can usually be found living her best cat-lady life or practicing yoga for strength and relaxation.
How It Began
Dara Counselling and Wellness was created from my passion for a holistic, patient-centered approach to wellness, establishing a place where comprehensive care and compassion converge.
