How It Began

Why  Dara Counselling and Wellness began

Like many people, I have also experienced the impact of trauma. I know how it can affect the way we see ourselves, our relationships, and our sense of safety in the world. Those experiences are part of what led me to this work—they help me understand, in a very real way, how heavy it can feel to carry pain alone.

I started this counselling practice to create a supportive space where people don’t have to carry that weight by themselves. My goal is to walk alongside those who are struggling, offering compassion, practical tools, and hope. Healing is not about forgetting the past, but about finding new ways to live with more ease, strength, and connection.

Myself and my amazing team look forward to supporting you,

Nancy
